Counseling and Psychotherapy

”Remember, we all stumble, everyone of us.  That’s why it’s a comfort to go hand in hand.”
Emily Kimborough

Hello, and thank you for spending some time on my website!

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT 50231) with a private practice in Pleasanton, where I live with my husband and two teens. My graduate degree is from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.  Prior to being licensed here in California, I worked in the field of counseling and mental health for 16 years in Dallas, Texas, in hospitals, private practices, clinics, and medical research settings.

I have been a stay-at-home mom, a part-time working mom, and a full-time working mother, which has provided me with the first hand knowledge it takes to understand how wonderful and how difficult all three of these different roles can be at times for moms, spouses, children, and families.

I hope you have found some information on these pages that has been supportive and helpful. For now I’d like to leave you with the powerful message that you are entitled to a life that is rich with possibilities, secure with connected relationships, and filled with nonstop authenticity. I trust you will find your way to a life that supports you in the best ways possible. I truly believe that having a life that works is a beautiful thing.

Please don’t hesitate to give me a call to see if we might be a good fit together. I look forward to hearing from you.
